I helped Scratch-san because he said he could do something about it. I didn't even know that he meant destroying everything, or I'd never have done anything.

It's the peacemaker story- you destroy everyone and then you have no war. [ a shrug. it's a classic tale, but one that repeats over and over again. nihilism at its best. ] People can be tricky with their words like that.
